Alpha North America 'DOERS'of the word, not hearers only. We are committed to helping students grow in their relationship with God and others. We do this in a variety of ways. One is through Bible studies that meet throughout the week. We also run a 10-week Alpha course to teach people the foundations of the Christian faith. Currently we have a womens Bible study from 4pm-6pm Monday afternoons at the church. Outreach: Lewie Wickham, evangelist, shared his story with students at a Drugs and Spirituality forum in September 1999. This is one example of things we like to sponsor in order to share about Jesus and how He can change our lives. Equipping: We host a variety of seminars and small groups to provide continuous growth with the lord 2 Timothy 3:16,17 "All Scripture is God-breathed and useflil for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man(and woman) of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Relationships: In Matthew 12:48, Jesus points out that spiritual relationships are as binding as physical ones and paving the way for a new community of believers(the universal church), our spiritual family. "Here are my mother and brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." We participate in many fun activites together. Below, we joined in Friday night karaoke at Napolitanoes restaurant In addition to our co-ed activities such as moonlight canoeing, dance parties, movie nights, football games, and game nights, separate "guys and girls times" are essential to our growth as Christians. We have "girl's night out" where we either go to a play, out to eat, watch movies, or just chat and then have a slumber party. The guys do things a little bit differently. They like to be macho men and camp-out every once in a while. It would be very unlike us to sneak up on them in the middle of the night so they never have to worry...hahaha.... Service: service is one of our highest priorities in our campus ministry. Our most common form of outreach is "servant evangelism", a term coined by Steve Sjogren, pastor of Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. The basic premise is based on Romans 2:4 "...God's kindness leads you toward repentance". Therefore, we share the love of Jesus with students through giving them free cokes, coffee, carnations on Valentine's Day, feeding parking meters, washing windshields, etc. COLLEGE KINSHIP IS BACK! The new college group will be meeting AT THE CHURCH at 7:00 p.m. in the room behind the auditorium. ![]() ![]()

A kinship group meets in someone's home once a week* with between 8-20 people. There is worship, fellowship and ministry for the members. If you are new to the Vineyard, kinships are a great way to find out more about our church and to make new friends. We have a number of kinships that meet throughout Gainesville on Wednesday and on Friday nights. To find out where each one meets, please pick up a kinship flyer from the west wall of the Sanctuary Building.
